about

Hello, I am Nicolas.

cybersecurity student, late reader,
and the quiet builder of Aethris.

Iwho I am

I'm a cybersecurity student. I like understanding and exploiting vulnerabilities through challenges. And above all, I love writing.

I've always been creative. That's why I've spent most of my life building worlds through my stories, but also levels in some video games, and even vulnerable boxes for cybersecurity challenges. And every time I created a new world, I gave it a story.

IIwhy Aethris

Being creative, I needed a place to keep my ideas safe. Memory is fine, but ideas end up slipping away… Notes on a phone work, but they're not very elegant. So I went looking for a writing app that fit me. I couldn't find a single one. Not one that truly suited me.

Aethris is what I would have wanted to find. So I built it.

IIImy vision

What I wanted when I built this project was an interface that clears away every distraction once you're logged in. No visible footer, no ads.

What I really wanted was an app that feels like a second home. A place where I feel at ease storing my worlds.

A quiet writing space.
Roadmap.
IVwhat I refuse

One thing that matters to me: generative AI. Aethris doesn't offer it in the editor. No sentence suggestions, no automatic rewriting.

It's a deliberate choice: your texts, your characters and your ideas are never exploited by an AI model, or used to train one. For me, protecting your intellectual integrity isn't a choice. It's an obligation.

What Aethris refuses to be.
Off by design.
